KR C1.07

The KR C1.07 controller consists essentially of control and power electronics. Integrated in a single cabinet, these are space--saving, user-- friendly and easy to service. The controller conforms to the safety requirements specified in DIN EN775. Power is supplied to the drive motors through a servo power module, which is controlled by means of digital servo--electronics (DSEAT).

The processor unit is based on standard PC hardware with a powerful Pentium_ microprocessor and an operator interface under Windows 95.

The powerful continuous--path control system for 3 or 4 axes incorporates extensive basic functions for the robot motion. Numerous special functions provide the capability of automating the robot periphery in a simple and cost--effective manner.

For operation of the robot, DIN EN 775 makes a distinction between the following operating modes with different safety levels:

Degree of protection: IP 54

Protection against dust deposits and splashing water according to EN 60529.

Control cabinet

The control cabinet contains the processor unit and the power unit. The processor unit comprises the PC hardware and the KCP, while the power unit features the mains filter, circuit breaker and power module.

Design

Sheet steel cabinet with front door. The rear panel and the left hand side panel are fastened by means of screws, enabling the heat exchangers and brake resistor to be cleaned if necessary.

The connecting cables are plugged into the front of the cabinet below the door.

KR-C1A

The KUKA robots KR 350, KR 60 P, KR 100 P, KR 100 PA and KR 160 PA are equipped with the KR C1 A controller, whose control and power electronics are integrated in a common control cabinet. This cabinet conforms to the safety requirements specified in DIN EN 775. Power is supplied to the drive motors by a drive controller for each axis, the drive controllers being supplied with power centrally by the KPS (KUKA Power Supply). The interface between the PC and the drive controllers is formed by the DSE (digital servo--electronics) with its Interbus interface. The computer unit is based on standard PC hardware with a powerful Pentium microprocessor and an operator interface under Windows 95 .

The controller contains all the components and functions necessary for operation of the robot.

The control cabinet contains the computer unit and the power unit. The computer unit comprises the PC hardware and the KCP, while the power unit features the power feed components, amplifiers and all contactors and relays required for logical connection purposes. Dimensions Height 1800 mm, width 800 mm, depth 600 mm Design Sheet steel cabinet, fully galvanized, with front door. The rear panel and one side panel can be opened, enabling the heat exchangers and brake resistor to be cleaned if necessary. The connecting cables are plugged into the front of the cabinet behind the door
